Sharon & Caleb Tie the Knot at the Whistling Swan Inn in Stanhope

There's something especially alluring to me about the wedding of two mature people, usually a second marriage for them both. Things are more relaxed, less frenetic; the love has had time to ripen; the friendships are deeper and have lasted much longer; there is a wider mix of generations many times, with children of the couple present and grown, as well as their parents.
All this was true for Sharon Romain and Caleb White, who committed themselves to each other on August 3 at the Whistling Swan Inn in Stanhope, NJ. The Whistling Swan is a gracious place that reeks of history and tradition. It's not huge, but it certainly handles medium size weddings quite well, and I love the owner, Roz Bruno.
Caleb was dressed in a kilt with his family's tartan, and he had just flown in from Sweden, where he will live, while his new wife Sharon will live in the US. They are doing this to be close to their children, which is quite a commitment. Sharon has her medical practice in Northern NJ. She looked beautiful and serene at the event, very much in love with Caleb, who is quite a high spirited fellow. It was a great pleasure to work with them both.
The wedding was simple. Most important was the rich flow of love coming from friends and relatives and returned in kind by the happy couple.
Here are some images from the wedding.
